On 25 October 2021, the Latvian Football Federation (“LFF”) Appeals Committee confirmed the LFF Ethics Committee’s decision to sanction Mr Ofosu Appiah with a one-year suspension from football and €1,000 fine for his alleged involvement in match-fixing.

Mr Appiah instructed Morgan Sports Law to represent him in an appeal of the decision and associated sanctions to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

On 14 March 2022, the CAS annulled the decision of the LFF Appeals Committee.

Accordingly, Mr Appiah has been cleared of all accusations of wrongdoing and is permitted to return to competitions with immediate effect.

Mr Appiah was represented in the CAS proceedings by William Sternheimer (Partner) of Morgan Sports Law, assisted by Imen Larabi (Associate) and Sam Comb (Trainee Solicitor).
