Cameroonian Footballers Win CAS Appeal

On 14 January 2021, the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (“DRC”) accepted claims of Alexis Yougouda Kada and Karime Benjamin Makongo (the “Players”) for outstanding remunerations and compensation for breach of contracts after they unilaterally terminated their respective employment contracts with the Moroccan club, MAS de Fès (the “Club”), with just cause.

In May 2021, the Club appealed the DRC decisions to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

On 17 December 2021, the CAS fully rejected both appeals and fully confirmed the DRC decisions.
