Mike Morgan has represented Morgan Sports Law this week as a guest speaker on iSportconnect TV’s Weekly Round Up programme.

Speaking about doping in cycling, Mike discussed the legal challenges the sport faces with presenter Jay Stuart and sponsorship expert Andy Kenny. Mike focused on the potential introduction of an amnesty programme in cycling to deal with its difficult past.

Mike’s view is that while an amnesty programme is an extreme measure that should be reserved for extreme circumstances, many people feel that cycling has reached that threshold. An amnesty in exchange for full disclosure may well be far more valuable in the fight against doping than sanctioning athletes, one at a time, for years to come.
