Disputes lawyer – 0-3 PQE opportunity

10th January 2018

We currently have an opportunity for a 0 – 3 years PQE lawyer, with a graduate degree (and/or postgraduate qualification) in science/mathematics/statistics, and ideally with litigation/arbitration experience, to join our growing team.

1. The firm

Morgan Sports Law was founded in July 2013 as a specialist sports dispute resolution firm.

2. The clients

The firm acts primarily for professional sportspeople, but also for agents, teams and clubs.

3. The work

Most of the firm’s work is heard before the Court of Arbitration for Sport and other sports disciplinary tribunals around the world.

Most of the disputes relate to anti-doping, corruption, eligibility, governance and contractual issues.

We are looking for someone to support those of our team members whose primary focus is on the scientific and technical aspects of anti-doping disputes.

4. Your qualifications and attributes

You will be a lawyer, with between 0 and 3 years post-qualification experience, and have:

  • A graduate degree (and/or postgraduate qualification) in a scientific discipline or in mathematics/statistics.
  • An excellent academic background and legal training (ideally with experience in arbitration and/or litigation work, although this experience is not essential).
  • A strong desire to work in the sports sector (although sports law experience is not essential).
  • Fluency in English (additional languages would be an advantage but are not essential).
  • The right to live and work in the UK.

5. Terms

Remuneration is competitive. A portion will be based on merit/performance.

The role is full time, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
